Janet Jackson has hired Giuseppe Zanotti to design a custom pair of shoes for her tour.

The pop star is set to embark on her Unbreakable shows on August 31, starting in Vancouver, Canada, and ending in Sunrise, Florida, next March.

Her outfits are just as important as her music, which is why Janet has hired the help of footwear designer pal Giuseppe to come up with a unique pair of shoes. He's made a pair of sneakers in multiple colours for the singer to wear.

“Janet is a close friend of mine - we have been close for a long time and I have always felt the greatest affection for her. She has always been a very loyal supporter of the brand and product," he told WWD. "She talked to me about her upcoming Unbreakable World Tour when we were together in Milan earlier this year, [and] she asked me to consider making her a special shoe for the tour. Of course, I was... very flattered and I immediately started to sketch some ideas out for her.”

Giuseppe ensured that the high-top sneakers offered ultimate comfort as Janet dances a lot during her performances. With their light and practical finish, the shoe expert is convinced they'll support her feet as she busts moves.

It isn't just Janet he's catering to though; Giuseppe will also be dressing her backup dancers and singers. This follows him working with the likes of Rihanna and FKA twigs.

“We are frequently asked to provide special shoes for celebrities on tour, [but] this is the first time we are the only luxury shoe company involved,” he added.

As well as them being close pals, Giuseppe is a big fan of Janet's music and is thrilled by the success of her latest single No Sleep.
