January Jones: Lam's shades aren't flashy

January Jones

January Jones has a pair of Derek Lam's "original but not too flashy" sunglasses with her at all times.

The Mad Men actress has discussed the clothing and accessories she'll be wearing this spring.

January named the designer's Hayden style of shades as her favourite, revealing she owns a pair to go with every outfit.

“The line has some amazing classic frames that are original, but not too flashy,” January revealed to whowhatwear.com. “I carry a black frame and a brown frame in my handbag, so depending on what I'm wearing, I have a pair to go with everything.”

Miu Miu’s ladylike designs are also on January's radar for spring. Especially since so many of the pieces look perfectly suited for a modern-day version of her Mad Men character Betty Francis. When she's not dressing up in fashion-forward choices like this, January listed a classic pair of comfortable denims as her outfit of preference.

“My favourite jeans at the moment are MiH,” January continued. “They have the best fit and give you a nice shape.”

The naturally fair-skinned star says protecting her complexion from the sun is important as the weather warms up. January named the J. Crew Panama Hat or a straw hat, usually a fedora, as the perfect finishing touch to her off-duty look on sunny days.

She also has her eye on Rochas’ covetable Striped Top Handle Tote to see her through the summer in style.

“It has great compartments for everything you need and is perfect for spring and summer,” January finished.
