January Jones never travels without her favourite facial serums and hand creams.

The actress and model has been travelling a lot in recent years, having scored parts in X-Men: First Class and Fox series The Last Man on Earth, following the conclusion of her hit TV show Mad Men last year (15), in which she played Betty Draper.

But constant jetsetting and work takes its toll, and January has devised a list of exactly what she needs to pack when away from home in order to keep her complexion and hair in top notch condition. Leaving nothing up to chance, January always takes all of her favourite products with her when relocating to a film set or on vacation.

“(I take) all my clinical serums: Sisley’s Supremya night cream, its All Day All Year day cream and Avene face wash,” she told Britain’s Harpers Bazaar magazine.

And as the face of hair care brand Kerastase’s Nutritive Magistral line, she’s a loyal devotee of certain products. In particular, January keeps her signature blonde tresses in good shape by regularly using Kerastase Therapiste serum and Kerastase Nutritive Masquintense Fine Hair.

And when travelling by plane, the 38-year-old ensures her carry-on bag is kitted out with moisturising products to combat the effects of intense air conditioning.

“(I pack) Jurlique Rosewater Balancing Mist; under eye patches, from Klorane or Skyn Iceland; a Sisley Black Rose mask; Caudalie handcream; Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Cream; my vitamins ; antiviral serums; and a good book,” she explained, adding that she also packs a Bill Blass coat and a pink Chloe jacket to keep warm.

But while the star often has to travel alone, there’s one person the South Dakota native wishes could always accompany her.

“My sister Jina is the most adventurous person I know, and is always keen to discover new places – she encourages me to be the same way,” she smiled.
