Jason Derulo is particularly turned off by people who do not maintain their dental hygiene.

The 25-year-old Talk Dirty singer broke up with fellow musician Jordin Sparks in 2014 after dating for three years.

Jason is currently single, but he knows for sure his future lover will not be suffering from poor dental hygiene.

“I'm not into messy teeth. If the grill has spaces and different colours, it's not my vibe,” he told People magazine.

But other than a healthy set of choppers, Jason claims he’s not that picky when it comes to the opposite sex.

The performer is most interested in being with a woman who has confidence in her style.

"Swag it out and be yourself," he said of what attracts him the most. "When you're trying too hard, it won't be real anyway. Don't try to be someone else."

Jason knows from personal experience that copying other people’s style isn’t necessarily the best thing to do.

In the past he attempted to dress like his older brother in baggy clothes, but that look wasn’t suited to him.

“I tried to dress like him. Big clothes, big white Ts, baggy jeans — that whole thing,” he told the Chicago Tribune previously. “I think through the whole first portion of my career, I would take back 80 per cent of what I wore. I was 19 years old. I was kind of feeling my way through everything. Whatever my stylist was pulling, I was wearing. As I look back, man, that was crazy. I was wearing some crazy, weird stuff. Like the In My Head video. The styling in that video was just not me.

“I feel like I was kind of going through the motions, but I was 19 years old, just coming in the industry and didn’t know better. And I thought what they were putting on me was dope. But now I dress like myself.”
