Jeff Goldblum: I love my biker jacket

Jeff Goldblum didn't think he'd suit a biker jacket, until he found the perfect one that has now become a wardrobe staple.

The 61-year-old star is known for his large body of work in Hollywood, which has spanned over four decades.

As well as acting, Jeff has a keen eye for fashion and has modelled a number of trends for a new spread in American GQ.

"I first admired motorcycle jackets on Marlon Brando in The Wild One. But I never was sure it was right for me, until I found one a couple of months ago while on jury duty - you know, during the Tribeca Film Festival. It's one of the central pillars of my closet at this point. I found it, and it found me," he smiled to the publication.

The magazine spread features Jeff in various outfits, including a black leather jacket by Ralph Lauren, as he runs across the road holding the hand of a beautiful blonde model.

Another photo shows the actor mid-conversation with his stunning co-star, wearing tomato red slacks, also by Ralph Lauren.

"I'm not trying to make a statement when I reach for a colourful pant. I'm just trying to tickle myself, and educate myself about my own evolving aesthetic. I'm reminded of a quote that guides my thinking: 'I'm not trying to impress anybody; I'm just trying to express myself,'" he mused.

For one still, Jeff is perched against a slushy machine in a cafe, wearing a stripped Diesel Black Gold top and a wide grin.

"I had a sweater like this back in my days when I was trying to be like Marcel Marceau, doing a mime demonstration with some whiteface, but that's forty years ago, before mime hit hard times, opinion-wise," he joked.

"Actually, my fiancée [Emilie Livingston] is French, and she has an item or two like this. So now if we had a mime duo, we could wear them simultaneously, if it wasn't a violation of both taste and sanity."
