Jennifer Lawrence 'has cool style'
Jennifer Lawrence's style is the "cool Californian girl type", according to a fashion professional.
The actress covers the November edition of British Vogue magazine. The publication's fashion editor Francesca Burn revealed how she decided to style the star for the shoot.
"I didn't want to shoot high fashion on her, she's a really cool Californian type of girl and the fashion this season was so directional - all those heavy jacquard and graphic prints," Francesca explained to Vogue.co.uk."It just didn't feel right."
As a result the shoot took place in Santa Monica, where the Hunger Games star was styled with tousled brushed-out hair which complimented the assortment of sweaters and knits seen in the shoot.
Photographer Alasdair McLellan was enlisted to capture a laidback '70s vibe that matches Jennifer's approach to stardom.
"Alasdair takes such honest pictures; he always finds the beauty in his subjects - not that it's hard with Jennifer," Francesca said. "We were looking at some old Joseph Szabo photographs of American teenagers in the '70s and that really inspired the feel of the shoot."
Francesca finished by describing the up-and-coming Hollywood actress as a down-to-earth kind of girl.
"[She's] so cool, so easy and so likeable. She's the kind of girl you could know or want to know," she gushed. "And she's hilariously funny!"
