Jennifer Lopez: Veganism isn’t freaky!
Jennifer Lopez couldn’t believe what cutting out animal products did to her figure.
The singer is famed for her amazing figure, which she showed off alongside Iggy Azalea in her raunchy video for their hit Booty earlier this year. Looking more in shape than ever, many of Jennifer’s fans were keen to hear how the 45-year-old does it.
Recently, it emerged a five-week vegan diet plan by Marco Borges was to thank for helping her drop some pounds. And now the star has encouraged people not to be afraid of cutting out animal products.
“When everyone hears vegan or vegetarian people get so scared,” she explained to Extra.
“When I started eating this way, right away I dropped like eight to ten pounds and I was like, ‘Woah!’”
Speaking to Us Weekly about the diet, Jennifer revealed she wanted to “buckle down” to look in her best shape ever and that she managed to go from a US size 4 to an even slimmer 2.
For anyone wanting the details of her strict plan, Jennifer revealed that on her vegan diet, she started the day with millet cereal, topped with bananas, blueberries and almond milk. Lunch was a kale salad with red peppers, while dinner consisted of zucchini pasta with vegan cheese and tomatoes.
And food was only half the battle – the fit star also made sure to work out regularly. She might not love the gym, but six-hour dance rehearsals did the trick.
“I feel better when I’m in shape and taking care of myself,” she smiled. “If you want other people to love you, you have to take care of yourself first.”
