Jess Simpson's scent-sational journey

Jessica Simpson believes perfume plays a "strong role" in a woman's life.

The 34-year-old singer is set to launch her new signature fragrance, following on from her successful Fancy line including scents titled I Fancy You and Fancy Nights.

In the advertisement for the latest perfume Jessica is seen standing in a field wearing a stunning sheer Oscar de la Renta gown covered in intricate white feathers and pearls. Her killer curves are on display as her blonde hair blows in the breeze, showing off her feather earrings.

This is a personal project for Jessica, who looks at perfume in a certain way.

“Feathers can represent a spiritual evolution,” she told People. “I know I have evolved into the woman who I am today. Fragrance plays a strong role throughout a woman’s life and when we recognise a distinctive smell we can be instantly transported to another time or place.”

A lot has changed over the years for the singer-and-actress. She welcomed her first child, daughter Maxwell, in May 2012 and her son Ace in June last year. Last month she married her long-term beau and father of her children Eric Johnson in a stunning ceremony at the San Ysidro Ranch in Montecito, California. This is also why Jessica chose to wait to release her eponymous product.

“I really wanted to have a signature scent out there that represented where I am in my life, as a mom, a wife, a designer and who I am as a person,” she added.

The stunning campaign was shot by photographer Gilles Bensimon, who is also the former International Creative Director of Elle magazine. The perfume bottle itself also has the feather incorporated into it on the lid.
