Jesse Tyler Ferguson launches wedding bow-tie line
The actor and his husband aim to help the LGBT community with their new line of accessories.
Modern Family star Jesse Tyler Ferguson has designed a bow-tie capsule collection inspired by his own wedding.
The 41-year-old star married Justin Mikita in July, 2013 and the couple has now immortalised their nuptials in a new line for their accessory brand Tie The Knot, which the spouses launched a year before they wed (12).
The capsule collection, which includes textiles based on the colours and patterns featured at their wedding, will benefit their lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) charity, which is also called Tie The Knot.
“Tie The Knot was created to stylishly support the fight for marriage equality," Jesse tells People magazine. "Now it’s more important than ever to protect that equality won nationwide, along with the many other freedoms being threatened by our current political landscape.
“Designing our first formal wedding collection for Tie The Knot felt like the perfect way to honour the charity’s five-year anniversary and success to date while continuing to support the ongoing battle for equality and human rights.”
In honour of their philanthropic goals and the release of their wedding capsule collection, Jesse and Justin have also given fans a glimpse into their wedding for the first time by releasing previously unseen private pictures from the big day exclusively to People magazine. In the sweet photos the husbands are pictured donning black and navy tuxedos while wearing matching black bow ties.
The Tie the Knot wedding capsule collection became available for sale online on Tuesday (16May17) and $20 (£15) of the $25 (£20) retail price will benefit the couple's charity.
