Jessica Alba's designer diaper bags

Jessica Alba thinks people won't feel "embarrassed" while using her new bags.

The 33-year-old star isn't just a successful actress; she's a savvy businesswoman, who founded and runs The Honest Company. It's the ideal place to pick up baby and toddler must-haves, offering everything from feeding bottles to body washes.

Now she's created something especially for mothers: a range of stylish and practical bags, featuring a satchel, tote and backpack in black or elephant grey.

"We had a bag our first year around Christmas. It was a unisex, pretty multifunctional messenger bag and people loved it. It had so many pockets; it was such a great carry-all work bag. It just flew out of our warehouse, so this was really just all about demand," she told elle.com of the new launch. "Our customers want beautiful things and they love the story that it's eco-leather, but also very luxurious. It doesn't look like a typical diaper bag. You can carry it even after your kids are out of diapers - it's not embarrassing."

Being a mother to daughters Honor, six, and three-year-old Haven with husband Cash Warren means Jessica has a good idea of what parents need from a carrier.

She's also managed to impress her spouse with the bags, as it isn't easy to find a design which men can hold with confidence.

"I remember my husband was really frustrated because there wasn't anything that was simple and chic (he wouldn't use the word chic), but you know what I mean... simple," she smiled. "All three bag styles are very multifunctional and you are ready for anything and everything. It goes well with your clothes and your lifestyle. Why should it have to be this embarrassing eyesore?"
