Jessica Chastain: I know my personal style

Jessica Chastain is careful to never wear dresses she can't "do justice" to.

The American actress enjoys getting glammed up for red carpet events, which she cites as one of the most enjoyable aspects of her job.

She can't believe she is allowed to wear pieces by some of the top designers, but always ensures she chooses items which flatter her shape.

"I absolutely adore Vuitton. I love the clothes and I love the colour, there is so much play. I went to the show last year and it was such a celebration of the female body. And I love new designers, Juan Carlos Obando and Prabal Gurung. I always try different things, try to change my look," she explained to ASOS magazine.

"I'm kind on myself to know that I can't wear all things. There are some dresses that are so beautiful, the detail is magnificent, but I can't give them the justice they deserve. I am aware of that. I know when I try something on if it's right."

The 30-year-old explained she tries not to compare herself to models. She sees women wearing outfits she loves at fashion shows but acknowledges they can pull off items she can't.

"It's tough because I'm never going to look better than a catwalk model in a dress. I'm not a model. I could never be a model. I love models, I think they're amazing and gorgeous and perfect, but physically, I'm not that," she said.
