Jessica Chastain sported custom-made white gown to romantic wedding
Jessica Chastain invited celebrity pals such as Anne Hathaway and Emily Blunt to her Italian nuptials over the weekend (10-11Jun17).
Jessica Chastain wore a custom-made white gown for her wedding to Gian Luca Passi de Preposulo.
The Miss Sloane actress married the Italian fashion executive in his home country on Saturday (10Jun17), with the pair exchanging vows in a ceremony held at the groom's family estate, Villa Tiepolo Passi, in the Treviso province.
Photos of the newlyweds show Jessica wore a strapless white gown with delicate embroidery and a flowing skirt to her nuptials, which she styled with a simple updo and long veil.
While it remains unclear who designed the ensemble, many fashionistas believe former Givenchy designer Riccardo Tisci was behind the gorgeous look, as he was a guest at the star-studded wedding.
To complement Jessica's classic look, Gian opted for a simple navy blue suit which he matched with a white shirt, grey tie and white rose boutonniere.
"The wedding was stunning," according to a report in E! News. "Jessica's dress was perfect and you could tell she was very nervous walking down the aisle."
The romantic occasion drew in a number of Hollywood stars, who all took the opportunity dress up.
Anne Hathaway enjoyed a break from promoting her new movie Colossal, and stood out in a purple and red Valentino gown which had a landscape print. The actress matched the look with navy sandals and a necklace with large turquoise gems.
Emily Blunt also got into the fun spirit of the bash, opting for a Peter Pilotto fuchsia dress from the fall/winter 2017 collection, which she paired with silver ankle strap sandals.
Other celebrities invited to the event included incoming British Vogue editor-in-chief Edward Enninful, Jessica’s Zero Dark Thirty co-star Edgar Ramirez, Canadian director Xavier Dolan, and socialite Bianca Brandolini d'Adda.
Jessica and Gian began dating in 2012.
