Jessica Chastain loves nothing more than wearing a pair of Paul Andrew shoes to a big event, because it feels like she’s donned a “tennis shoe”.

Jessica Chastain loves that Paul Andrew’s heels feel like “tennis shoes”.

The 39-year-old actress is a regular attendee of red carpet events and frequently tops best dressed lists thanks to her stunning ensembles.

As she attended the Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA) awards, Jessica opted for a pair of Andrew’s strappy black sandals, which perfectly complemented her Prabal Gurung gown.

Andrew took home the Swarovski Award for Accessory Design for his footwear designs at the glitzy event, and Jessica was front and centre praising him for his innovative designs.

“He thinks about comfort; not only is it exquisite in design, but you’re not cursing his name at the end of the night. I feel like I’m wearing a tennis shoe,” she told Pret-a-Reporter.

“I was first introduced to Paul Andrew’s shoes about three years ago when I was filming in Toronto,” Jessica added to WWD. “I loved them so much I brought them to Cannes with me and wore them on a photo shoot in the ocean.”

Jessica wore her flame red hair slicked back in a chic updo for the occasion, and accessorised her look with a delicate diamond bracelet.

The Interstellar actress previously revealed she loves being experimental with her jewellery choices.

“I believe there’s something spiritual about colours and stones and they change my mood,” Jessica told Harper’s Bazaar magazine. “So if I’m wearing yellow diamonds I feel very cheerful and happy and sparkling. But then there’s something very sensual about a ruby or an amethyst. On the other hand, I love a great big diamond. I love pink diamonds. Love, love, love pink diamonds… there’s not a stone I would say goodbye to.

“There’s something about the brilliance of the stones. We’re drawn towards diamonds because they reflect light and there’s some happiness in that.”
