Joan Collins: Nails should match lips

Joan Collins keeps a concealer in her bag in case of a selfie emergency.

The 81-year-old British actress is known for her perfect red-carpet looks and has brought her beauty tips to the masses with her cosmetics range.

Now she's revealed what makes it into her beauty bag - and the star says a good nail repair cream never goes amiss.

"I think a sign of true glamour is matching nails to lipstick," she said to British magazine new!

"I like my nails to be in good condition, so I use this excellent nail treatment [by Leighton Denny]."

Years in the industry means Joan has had time to amass fans all over the world. She keeps a concealer she designed handy in case anyone gets snap happy.

"This is a favourite with make-up artists," she said of the Joan Collins Timeless Beauty Fade to Perfect Concealer.

"It blurs imperfections and diminishes dark circles, lines and wrinkles. I always keep a Medium shade with me in case someone wants a selfie on their phone!"

Many of Joan's beauty tricks are very simple. For one, she relies on classic product Vaseline to soothe her dry heels, elbows and lips. She also uses a L'Oréal Elnett hairspray to "control" her tresses.

The star relies on an eye serum from her range to make sure she doesn't suffer from puffiness.

"I always carry it in my handbag to apply over make-up when my eyes feel tired," she shared.
