Joe Manganiello: I plan my workouts
Joe Manganiello has dished on his diet and fitness regimes.
The hunky True Blood star has become known for his impressive muscles, which is likely part of what helped him bag gorgeous girlfriend Sofía Vergara.
It's no surprise to hear the 37-year-old is very strict about his workout routine.
"Organisation is the most important part!" he revealed to the German edition of Shape magazine.
"I work out at the gym twice a day; each session is different. Mondays and Thursdays I do an hour of cardio on the cross trainer and I also lift weights for an hour and a half to strengthen the chest and leg muscles.
"Tuesdays and Fridays I switch to the treadmill and on the strength side I train my back and biceps. Wednesdays and Saturdays are for the shoulders and triceps."
Of course exercising is just half the battle; Joe also keeps a keen eye on his diet. The star says he eats around 2,500 calories a day.
"I eat a lot of vegetables, like asparagus, green beans and mushrooms, then protein from chicken or fish," he shared, adding he has one cheat day a week.
"On those days, I eat whatever I want; usually burgers or waffles."
There could be bad news for fans of Joe's buff body though. The star never wants to be pigeonholed into the role of Hollywood hunk.
"There are plenty of projects waiting for me - but hopefully not just ones where I take my shirt off!" he laughed.
In July it was reported that the actor had started dating Modern Family's Sofía. While he didn't discuss their romance, he did reveal his favourite part of a woman's body.
"Her smell, where her neck meets her jawbone - heavenly," he gushed.
