John Mayer creates wallet line
John Mayer has designed a limited edition line of wallets.
The 35-year-old musician created the accessory range in collaboration with leather goods company Barrett Alley.
The move sees John branch out into the wider leather goods area, and follows the success of his first two bracelet collections that he created for the brand.
Currently the line consists of 50 fold over pouches which are all made out of premium deerskin leather.
The attention to detail John has included in his designs extends to the use of vintage materials incorporated with a personal touch from the star by way of his initials subtly printed inside.
“The interior linings are made from hand-pulled custom Japanese deadstock fabrics from the late 1800s to early 1900s and imprinted with JCM–John's initials,” Coco Perez reported.
The fancy money holders are bound and held together with an "antique American Civil War-era bone button closure" and a manly leather strap.
Each wallet also comes with an embossed unique number on the back.
Purchasers will also receive a hand-stamped limited edition card when they buy one of the money holders, for extra reassurance they have purchased a one-off.
The guitar playing ballad singer reportedly had a huge success with his first two jewellery collaborations with Barrett Alley and this line is expected to do equally as well.
