Julia Louis-Dreyfus reveals diet secrets
Julia Louis-Dreyfus says the secret to her slim figure is moderation, and admits she often indulges in a glass of wine or bar of chocolate.
The 54-year-old actress has a figure that most women half her age would be jealous of.
And Julia says that while she allows herself the odd indulgence, it’s all about remaining within the limits of a healthy diet.
“I have a lot of guilty pleasures — wine and chocolate, in particular — but when I cut them out completely, I get into a lot of trouble,” Julia told NewBeauty magazine. “My mantra is moderation.”
Julia first made a name for herself in Woody Allen’s movie Hannah and Her Sisters in 1986.
Since then she has starred in countless movies and television shows including Veep.
And Julia added to the publication that growing older in the media spotlight has been an odd experience.
“You’ve seen me age,” she said. “I’ve been in showbiz for so long. From the first time people saw me on Saturday Night Live until now… it’s no secret that I’ve gotten older. I’ve gotten older in front of you and that is odd — it is still so strange to me that everyone has seen me age on a public stage. It’s totally changing and difficult.”
Being in the public eye for such a long time has meant that Julia has picked up a few tips on how to perfect her look before heading out.
And taking selfies is surprisingly the key to Julia’s always flawless appearance.
“One thing I learned in the past 15 years, is if you aren’t sure about how you look, take a picture of yourself,” Julia said. “Sometimes looking at yourself in the mirror is not a true evaluation; sometimes, you need that distance of the camera. I know that sounds crazy, but I think it’s true.”
