Julia Roberts' iconic Pretty Woman dress on sale
The Money Monster star is saving some of her favourite Hollywood outfits for her daughter Hazel.
The blue and white cut-out dress Julia Roberts wore as hooker with a heart Vivian Ward in Pretty Woman is set to hit stores.
The original dress' designers at British label Hunza G have teamed up with Asos to sell the classic, dubbed the Crinkle Iconic Mini Beach Dress or 'the Pretty Woman dress' in black, red or blue.
It retails on the site for $215 (GBP166) and is part of an eight-piece capsule collection for the label, which is now run by Georgiana Huddart. Sales have been swift and the red and blue versions appear to be sold out.
The movie's original was designed by Peter Meadows, using crinkle-stretch fabric - the same material Hunza has used for the tribute piece, which the label launched in an Instagram post at the weekend (29-30Apr17).
Julia's character wore the dress while drinking champagne, eating strawberries and wearing a short blonde wig in the iconic 1990 film.
The Money Monster star recently revealed she is saving some of the memorable dresses from her career for daughter Hazel, 12. The vintage 1982 Valentino dress she wore to accept her Oscar for Best Actress for Erin Brockovich in 2001 has a special storage spot.
"It's under my bed, in a box," she told People magazine last month (Apr17). "I have this little space in my house that my husband refers to as the heritage collection. (They're) things I go, 'I can't get rid of (this); what about Hazel?'"
Julia reveals her husband, cinematographer Danny Moder, believes Hazel may not want her mum's "old stuff", but that hasn't deterred the actress.
She adds, "I say, 'Well, maybe she'll want it'. So I keep keeping things."
Julia, who is also mum to sons Henry, nine, and 12-year-old Phinnaeus, Hazel's twin brother, has yet to reveal whether the famed Pretty Woman dress is part of her 'heritage collection'.
