Julianne Hough has revealed that her red carpet pout can be obtained with a simple, DIY beauty trick.

The 27-year-old dancer-and-actress rarely looks anything but flawless on the red carpet.

And Julianne has revealed the somewhat surprising secret to just how she gets her pout perfect.

“As you know, I love discovering DIY beauty treatments,” Julianne wrote on her website JulianneHough.com. “My made at home lip scrubs leave my lips softer and sweeter than anything I’ve ever found at a store. I have been missing my coconut oil concoction lately and wishing I’d thought to bring it on tour.

“I mentioned this to my make-up artist when explaining the over abundance of yummy lip butter. That’s when she did something odd: she handed me a disposable mascara wand. At first I thought she was crazy, but then she showed me how to swivel it around in petroleum jelly (but any natural oil will do) and use it to lightly polish up my pucker. Genius!”

Julianne rarely goes a week without jetting off to a new location. In fact, in recent months she has been on the road with brother Derek for their Move Live on Tour.

And the stunning blonde has stored the mascara wand tip in her beauty arsenal, as she thinks it will be the ideal go-to when she needs a quick pout fix.

“I imagine most beauty counters would be kind enough to give you a sample wand or two,” she continued. “These are great for travelling and other times you aren’t able to take your treatments along with you.”
