Kanye West 'handpicks clothing line material'
Kanye West has handpicked fabrics for his new clothing range.
The American rapper was spotted in east London selecting material and fastenings for his upcoming womenswear collection. Kanye reportedly made two trips to East London Trimmings and spent £14,000 on zips and textiles.
On the second trip the 34-year-old megastar even posed for photographs with shop owner Sarfaraz Loonat and his friends and family.
"He was very down to earth and humble," Sarfaraz told British newspaper The Sun.
There has been a huge amount of speculation regarding Kanye's new clothing line, which is set to debut at Paris Fashion Week on Saturday.
Fellow designer and collaborator Katie Eary confirmed last week that the singer is fully committed to his new venture.
"He's such a dedicated designer," she told elleuk.com. "It's not what everybody would think - he's more dedicated than I am. The time and the travel that he puts in is unbelievable. I feel jealous at his commitment."
Kanye has reportedly used Samurai as inspiration for his designs.
Unsurprisingly he has created sporty garments, such as hooded and baseball jackets, but he has given them a twist with luxurious oriental fabrics.
However, all his dedication comes at a price. Sources suggest that the collection will be incredibly exclusive and carry a sizeable price tag.
