Kim Kardashian is apparently using "trial and error" when it comes to picking her maternity wardrobe.

The reality TV star and her boyfriend Kanye West are expecting their first child, rumoured to be a girl, who is due in July.

Much has been made of Kim's changing figure over the last few months. She has admitted her bump hasn't "popped" as much as she would like and instead she has gained inches on her figure.

"Kim's body is difficult to dress, because it's changing day-to-day," an insider explained to Heat magazine. "Loose-fitting maternity clothing turns her into a box - she's trying to embrace her new curves but it's very much a case of trial and error."

Kim has even been accused of boosting her shape with a fake pregnancy bump by some social network users. She has laughed off the claims, explaining her tummy is bigger on some days than others, which is as difficult for her to understand as it is for other people.

The 32-year-old fully expects her stomach to start protruding more as her pregnancy progresses and thinks she'll find it easier to get dressed each day when that happens.

"I'm not going to lie and be like, ‘Oh, it's been amazing and I've adjusted great,’” she laughed recently. “At the beginning it was tough for me when your body changes so much… but once you kind of grasp that and embrace it... it's amazing.”

The star also joked about claims she is tipping the scales at 200lbs., insisting she is closer to 140lbs.
