Kate Hudson: I like to flash the flesh

Kate Hudson still turns to the same pieces for spring as she did when she was 16.

The 35-year-old actress has been wowing on the red carpet more than ever over the last year, dazzling in an array of flattering gowns and two-pieces.

Her stylist Sophie Lopez is always on hand to pick out ensembles for the spotlight, with Kate favouring a certain aesthetic.

"Anything that shows a little skin - we really like things that cut out and display different parts of the body," she smiled to The Hollywood Reporter's Stylist Issue.

"Versace knows how to accentuate every single part of a woman," Sophie added, referring to the star's gorgeous white dress with a daringly low neckline at the Golden Globes this year.

The pair often hit the shops together when shopping for Kate's wardrobe. And Sophie is so comfortable in her client's company that she isn't afraid of speaking out when the actress is about to make a wrong purchase.

"I think my spring must-haves haven't changed since I was like, 16 years old. It's just little white dresses," she laughed in a behind-the-scenes video for the publication. "Sophie doesn't let me buy any more white dresses. Every time we're in a shop she's like, 'No.'"

"You've already got that dress, you've got like 15 of that dress," Sophie joined in.

That's not to say Sophie gets everything spot on. One near purchase had Kate and others urge her not to go through with it.

"You almost bought a Céline bag," Kate laughed. "It was her fuzzy ball bag!"

"Not the Céline bag that everyone's got," Sophie insisted. "It had black, fuzzy balls on it like The Flintstones. I almost bought that, then a lot of people told me [not to]."
