Kate Hudson's Golden Globes look has been praised by a host of stars who have rated her one of the best dressed celebrities at the event.
The actress opted to wear a dazzling black Alexander McQueen gown with gold bead work at the neckline to the awards ceremony, which was held last night at the Beverly Hilton Hotel.
The long-sleeved black gown was made even more stunning thanks to gold accents on Kate’s decorative wide belt, which served to accentuate her tiny waist.
The jaw dropping effect of the dress was furthered by the plunging keyhole cut-out detail at the front.
Kate complemented the gown's Byzantine inspired gold bead work by adding gold stud earrings by Jennifer Meyer and a dazzling clutch bag, with her golden mane of hair styled in a loose flowing manner.
Stars who commented on Kate's appearance include Kim Kardashian, who blogged about her favourite looks of the night.
"There were so many gorgeous dresses on the red carpet tonight! I absolutely love watching the red carpet shows before the awards and seeing the stunning gowns. This year my top three were Jennifer Lopez in Zuhair Murad, Jessica Alba in Oscar de la Renta gown and Harry Winston diamonds and my absolute favourite look of the night was Kate Hudson in Alexander McQueen," Kim gushed on her official blog. "I just loved the sleek silhouette and the gold accents!"
Nashville actress Hayden Panettiere took to her Twitter page to express her love for Kate's Alexander McQueen Pre AW13 black gown.
"I’m loving Kate Hudson's dress. Anyone know who designed it?" Hayden tweeted.
Chloë Grace Moretz, Lindsay Lohan and Ashley L. Rosenbaum also commented on Kate's look, making her a contender for the stars' best dressed female of the night.
"Kate Hudson looks GORGEOUS (sic)!!" Lindsay tweeted.
"Kate Hudson looks beautiful," Chloë exclaimed.
"Obsessed with Kate Hudson's dress!!" Ashley also gushed about the gown.
Kate's choice of outfit for the event was actually a last minute decision.
"I decided to go for comfort," Kate explained on the red carpet.
