Kate Moss recalls gold make-up phase

Kate Moss used to get an up an hour early to "sort out" her gold make-up for school.

The British supermodel recently launched her range of lipsticks for Rimmel London and has been reminiscing about her favourite make-up memories.

She took cosmetics application seriously when she was younger and would perfect her appearance before going to lessons.

"The first lipstick I ever wore was a shimmery Rimmel one there was a whole gold look that I was doing," she told the December edition of UK magazine Glamour. "I used to wear it to school and get up an hour early to sort it all."

Kate's lipstick line includes a bright red.

She loves the shade and has been wearing a version of it ever since she was a teenager.

She thinks she initially tried the look because she was inspired by "hip-hop", but warns a bold red isn't suitable for everyone. Some skin tones need to tone it down a bit.

"Some look better with a darker red, I think," she said. "I like a red lip with a nude eye."
