Katy Perry swears by caffeine before an intense workout.
The pretty pop star is known for her great figure and always stuns in form-fitting dresses on the red carpet.
In order to stay in shape, the 28-year-old works out – but admits she sometimes needs a helping hand.
“Even when I don’t have energy, I know that working out will give me the energy I need and keep up my serotonin levels – so that motivates me,” she admitted to British magazine Star.
“If I need more motivation, I’ll have a double-shot espresso to get me going.”
Like most people, Katy sometimes doesn’t feel like hitting the treadmill.
Instead she swears by activities that will get her out into the fresh air.
“I prefer to go on hikes or ride my bike,” she explained.
“My favourite workout on tour is riding around town, seeing the city and giving out tickets while dressed in disguise.”
Touring the world can be a stressful time for the dark-haired beauty.
The Teenage Dream singer knows that it’s important to eat the right things, so she tries to stick to a sensible diet that keeps her energy levels up.
“Eating healthily on tour can be a real challenge, but when I’m on the road a favourite dinner of mine is a light soup, a piece of grilled chicken and some quinoa grilled with asparagus,” she revealed.
“I always need my daily vitamins and I love fresh pressed juices and coconut water.”
