Katy Perry on-trend at Givenchy
Katy Perry had “no idea” she would be so on-trend with her hair styled in finger waves at Givenchy’s Paris Fashion Week show.
The pop star, who is known for her quirky sense of style, was perfectly on-trend with her dark locks styled in a chic updo complete with finger waves stuck to her temples.
But the 30-year-old has insisted she had “no idea” the hairstyle would feature in the runway show and that the look was something she came up with herself.
"Well I had no idea we were doing finger waves in the hair for the show, I just did this on my own,” she told Style.com. “When they were walking down the runway, I was like, 'I love this!'"
The Gothic-inspired collection full of glamorous velvets and lace was somewhat overshadowed by Tisci’s use of face jewellery on his models. But while critics and fans alike were divided over the heavy metal look, Katy revealed she was very much onboard with the overall style.
"I loved all the face jewellery and I thought that was really appealing to me. I'd wear some of that,” she smiled.
Katy sat front row at the show alongside long-time stylist and friend Johnny Wujek, no doubt getting plenty of inspiration for her next concert tour costumes.
Embracing the Gothic trend, the Dark Horse singer wore all black, complete with a Gypsy-esque shawl tied around her shoulders and huge ornate chandelier earrings.
She rubbed shoulders with Kim Kardashian, Kanye West and Kris Jenner during the festivities, happily posing for photos with the stars.
