Ke$ha ladylike at American Music Awards

Ke$ha showed off a glamorous and ladylike image at the American Music Awards (AMAs) last night.

The pop star debuted softer make-up and a more feminine style for her red carpet arrival at the awards ceremony held at the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles.

The singer wore a pretty pink babydoll crocheted mini dress and black sky high heeled shoes.

However, the most notable part of her appearance was her long platinum hair, styled in a Hollywood starlet fashion.

Ke$ha kept her new look personalised by working an unusual ear full of golden insect earrings, which she drew attention to by pulling her hair back.

The singer was one of the only stars who made heads turn with her accessory-focused look on the red carpet.

She later took to the stage and wowed again with her impeccable rock chick style.

Ke$ha began her performance by sitting on a throne and donning a black lacy veil, which covered her face as she sang the opening of the song Die Young.

Lasers shot blue and orange neon in every angle as the glammed-up pop star descended from her seat, ditching her Lady Gaga-like head gear and exposing long platinum-blonde braids.

Ke$ha then revealed her outfit which was a gold crusted leotard and black leather boots.

Also looking stylish at the AMAs was Christina Aguilera who debuted a new short hairstyle on the red carpet.

The 31-year-old singer strutted her stuff in a purple floor length Pamella Roland dress.

The gown incorporated a flattering wrap style with multiple different purple coloured hues to give an overall slimming effect.

The star accessorised with Jimmy Choo shoes, a Judith Leiber bag and gorgeous Neil Lane jewellery.

Nicki Minaj stood out in an electric yellow floor length gown for her highly dramatic entrance.

Carrie Underwood's purple sequinned gown was a favourite, along with Heidi Klum who also rocked sequins. The model's gold mini had a different flair to Carrie's thanks to a sky-high slit.
