Kellan Lutz wants to expand his design empire.
The actor-turned-designer already owns Abbot + Main, a knitwear brand.
Talking to WWD.com he confirmed he wants to boost his fashion credentials by adding shoes to the line in the next 12 to 18 months.
"I want to take my time and do it right," he said. “We want to stay with the Venice Beach feel [with our entire line].”
The 28-year-old actor launched his fashion line in 2011, naming it after an intersection in the Venice Beach, California, neighbourhood where he used to live.
"It's all about comfort," he explained. "We're not the fashionista brad."
The Twilight star starting modelling at the age of 14 and hanging around with designers and photographers has given him a keen eye for what trends and cuts work.
"It’s very important to me, I love asking questions and I get to talk to all these major designers. It’s about learning by seeing," he said.
Initially an exclusive menswear range, Abbot + Main soon branched out to womenswear too.
