Kelly Brook: I’m happy with curves

Kelly Brook says being skinny “didn’t get [her] respect”. The British model-and-actress is famed for her gorgeous looks and enviable curves and regularly graces the covers of magazines.

Kelly, 31, says she is comfortable with her body now more than ever after putting on a few pounds.

The stunning star has been dating Thom Evans since December of last year, and credits her weight gain to being happy in her relationship.

“I feel happier and sexier than ever, even though I’m a stone heavier. Being skinny didn’t get me respect or make me feel happy, and I think this is the first time I’ve felt really loved,” she told Sunday Times Style magazine.

“In a way, that’s quite daunting too, because in the past I’ve had that naughty side, and it’s worked for me, but now I want to step up and live up to the expectations of me.”

Kelly sadly lost her baby daughter five months into her pregnancy earlier this year and both her and partner Thom were left devastated. The brunette beauty has revealed she is moving on from her tragic loss and would consider having children again in the future.

“Sometime in the next couple of years, I’d love to have children,” she revealed. “But until then, I need to concentrate on the serious business of looking glamorous.”

Kelly insists her job requires brains as well as beauty. The curvy star, who produced her own range of swimwear with high street chain New Look, says she shouldn’t be penalised for starting her modelling career in more bawdy publications.

“I might have started on the lad’s mags, but now I work with world-class photographers and huge brands like Sky and Reebok, and when I’m called into a board meeting, it’s not because I’m pretty or I’m Kelly, but because we know we can work and make money together,” she said.

“What I do is serious business, and you need a brain for that.”
