Kelly Brook shows off her fabulous Simply Be collection

By Staff Reporter

Go for figure-hugging glam with the new Kelly Brook collection, which goes on sale today at Simply Be's first store in Northern Ireland.

The first Simply Be store in Northern Ireland is getting off to a gorgeous start thanks to the chain's new collection from ultimate pin-up Kelly Brook.

The model and actress's new autobiography may be making headlines thanks to her confessions of landing punches on her exes, actor Jason Statham and rugby player Danny Cipriani, but her 14-piece fashion line, which goes on sale today at the Royal Avenue branch, is truly knock-out.

The Kelly Brook for Simply Be collection also marks the most inclusive range for the brand with sizes starting at a size 10 for the first time, ranging up to a size 32.

Expect figure-flattering dresses with prices that are kind to your purse, starting from £35 for a top to £130 for a faux fur belted winter coat.

A textured midi dress at £75 which nips in at the waist and is the perfect party dress is sure to fly off the shelves.

And the full-skirted, animal print dress, £60, is another of our hero pieces.

Kelly, who has evidently taken inspiration from some of her fave items in her own wardrobe, has clearly enjoyed showing off her talents as a designer.

She says: "It's been brilliant working with Simply Be on this collection. I really wanted it to reflect some of the latest trends, but also give women the confidence to embrace and show off their assets.

"I've always found it difficult to find clothes that fit my body shape, so this has been a wonderful opportunity to create a range that is all about fitting and accentuating curves! I can't wait to see what people think of it!"

Simply Be – which shares the new premises with Jacamo menswear chain – has long been a mail-order favourite with women here. Created in 1999 as a catalogue-based business offering women fashion that fits regardless of size, it has evolved into a well-loved online and retail store brand.

And it has played a key role in changing the perception of the so-called plus-sized market in the UK. Historically that has suffered from a reputation of rarely reflecting catwalk trends, but Simply Be consistently swims against the tide offering fast fashion for all women.

Angela Spindler, CEO at N Brown Group PLC, of which Simply Be is part, says: "Kelly Brook is the perfect fit for Simply Be as she is a shining example of somebody who embraces and celebrates her curves. She has put huge amounts of energy and passion into designing her collection with our team, ensuring each piece has the vital ingredients necessary to make our customers feel fantastic."

Manager of the 5,700 sq ft Belfast store Colin Mcllvenny added: "We're incredibly excited to be launching the Kelly Brook for Simply Be collection. The new range is sure to be a fantastic addition to an already great collection of women's fashion."

The store also offers men's clothing available for small to 5XL at Jacamo, with brands such as Flintoff by Jacamo, the collection exclusively designed by cricketer Andrew 'Freddie' Flintoff, as well as designer brands Penguin, Voi jeans and Lambretta.

And if you need any help choosing which of Kelly's pieces works best for you, there's a free personal shopper service for one-on-one style advice.
