Kelly Rowland reveals weight loss secrets
Kelly Rowland has detailed the process behind her 70lbs post-baby weight loss, crediting eating in moderation and regular exercise to her lithe physique.
The 34-year-old singer welcomed baby boy Titan, her first child with husband Tim Weatherspoon, back in November.
And while many women struggle to shed their baby weight, Kelly has managed to snap back into shape within a matter of weeks.
In a new interview, Kelly credits her post-baby body in part to spinning classes at SoulCycle.
“Jeanette Jenkins is the secret, SoulCycle is the secret, Angela Davis… when I go in there and it’s the wee hours of the morning she is a great secret, so motivational,” she told US TV show Extra. “Jeanette comes in with so much energy and this huge smile on her face and you can’t help but to get excited about working out.”
While exercise is a major part of how Kelly managed to drop the weight, she also stuck to a diet plan.
And keen to allow herself the odd treat, Kelly says it’s all about everything in moderation.
“The 80/20 rule is all the way real, 80% of the time you eat those foods giving you nourishment, you’re eating clean, and 20% of the time, have guacamole, a tonne of it like I do, and a margarita and maybe queso too!” she gushed.
Kelly first achieved fame as one third of girl group Destiny’s Child. But now she, Beyoncé and Michelle Williams are all doing their own things, Kelly admits she’s unsure whether a musical reunion will happen between the girls at one point in the future.
“The last reunion happened the other day when we all sat down and were just talking and enjoying each other’s company, it was awesome, not every time you see Destiny’s Child together may be in front of the camera, we still have our bond amongst each other, that’s the most beautiful gift Destiny’s Child has given me,” she said.
