Kendall Jenner’s beauty education

Kendall Jenner has opened up about getting a “beauty education” while working with some of the makeup industry’s best and brightest.

Hosting a dinner party in celebration of Estée Lauder’s new collaboration with Courrèges in Paris, France on Saturday, the in-demand teen model dazzled with her chic white shift dress and contrasting bright pink lips.

Speaking with Elle magazine, the 19-year-old revealed that while she usually tends to stick with more neutral palettes, she’s been getting a “beauty education” working with the industry’s top artists, who’ve taught her to not be afraid to experiment with colour.

“They just have such refined technique; the way they know how to use brushes, the way they know how to blend... I watch them use different products when they do my makeup, and it's the best beauty education I could ever get. Learning from them is the greatest part of my job,” she gushed, adding of her lipstick of choice that evening, “It's called Rosy Future. It's from the Courrèges collection. This dress is Courrèges too, actually.”

Kendall’s star has been very much on the rise over the past few years, walking runways at some of the most prestigious shows at New York, Paris and Milan Fashion Weeks as well as being named the new face of Estée Lauder. And, she says, it’s a dream come true in more ways than one as she gets to indulge her long-held passion for dressing up.

“I would always play dress-up; I would always put makeup on and run around the house. I've always been really into cosmetics, ever since I was really little,” she revealed.

However, one aspect of being a professional model the 5ft 10in beauty still struggles with is walking and posing on red carpets in sky-high stilettos.

“Yeah, it's kind of painful! I'll be honest. I have the longest toes in the world; they're spider toes. They are. I have spider fingers, too! So they're kind of being crunched right now...” she laughed, revealing her trick of the trade. “So I switch off from one foot to another a lot, like this. [She crosses one foot behind the other in her now-signature pose.] You have to keep moving your feet!”
