Kerry Washington's magical Louboutin moment
Kerry Washington and Christian Louboutin showed how much they adore each other while posing for The Hollywood Reporter, according to photographer Mary Rozzi.
Kerry Washington felt magical the first time she wore Louboutins.
The pregnant Scandal actress has designers jumping to dress her for red carpet events nowadays thanks to her star status, meaning she always looks flawless in the spotlight. She especially loves shoe designer Christian Louboutin though as his offerings made a big impact on her love for fashion.
“The first time I slipped Louboutins on, I knew how special they were,” she recalled to Pret-a-Reporter. “I’d never worn a red sole before, so it was a real Cinderella moment.”
Louboutin himself remains modest, insisting it’s the woman who wears the shoe who is more important than the footwear itself.
Showing how much of a close friendship the pair have, they posed for a photoshoot for The Hollywood Reporter, shot by Mary Rozzi. Watching from the outside, she was able to witness the bond between Louboutin and the actress.
"It was very obvious they genuinely adore each other and have a mutual respect for each other's trade," Rozzi said.
Journalist Carol McColgin interviewed the pals, during which they spoke about visiting each other in their hometowns. Louboutin also made sure to involve Kerry’s little girl, two-year-old Isabelle, as she was present during the job, giving a personal touch to a pair of his famous red-soled shoes.
"He even customized a sparkly pink pair of 'princess shoes' for her daughter," McColgin smiled. "It doesn't get any sweeter."
It seems the 39-year-old beauty was thrilled by the finished results of her shoot with Louboutin, as she posted the cover shot on her Instagram page while singing the praises of the businessman.
“Honored to be gracing the @hollywoodreporter cover with my dear friend. A true artist and trailblazer. An inspiration and a mentor. Christian, I love you and all of your limitless creative genius. Xo” she wrote in the caption.
