Kiesza: I design clothes I can't find

Kiesza has spoken about her approach to fashion.

The Canadian star has made a name for herself in the music industry following the release of her hit debut single Hideaway. Alongside her budding singing career Kiesza is also planning to launch her own fashion line called SteamPop later this year, named after the genre of music.

Speaking about her own taste in clothing the 25-year-old shared how she picks what to wear.

“I am very experimental with fashion for sure. If I have an idea of something that I want and I can’t find it, I will just sketch it out and have it made, so that’s what I have been doing lately,” she told WWD.

Kiesza describes her upcoming clothing label as an affordable “fusion of different styles”. She cites female celebrities such as Madonna and Nicole Kidman as her style icons, along with another unusual choice.

“Even Michael Jackson inspired some of the things I wear,” she added.

The red-haired singer was recently announced as the face of Fendi's new eyewear collection Color Block and can be seen looking chic in the promotional video for the range. She was directed by Ruth Hogben in the clip and can be seen walking on a treadmill wearing and playing with double-framed spectacles.

Speaking about the collaboration, Kiesza admits it was the perfect fit for her.

“They are almost artsy, and that’s my personality,” she smiled.

Fendi's Color Block eyewear is set to hit stores in June, while Kiesza's line SteamPop has yet to release a launch date.
