Kim Kardashian 'to ditch patterns'

Kim Kardashian

Kim Kardashian will reportedly reach for outfits that aren't "clingy" while she sheds her baby weight.

The socialite welcomed her first child with rapper Kanye West, a girl, into the world in June.

Since having North, the reality TV star has kept a low profile and is famously said to be struggling with the weight she put on while pregnant.

Her stylist, Monica Rose, has reportedly picked out a wardrobe for the star that will flatter her new curves.

"Elaborate prints or anything shiny or metallic are no-nos as they really add weight," an insider explained to British magazine Star.

"And high heels will be risky, as well as uncomfortable, when carrying [North]. Instead, wedges will add height and make her look slimmer while keeping the comfort factor."

Kim was spotted by an onlooker in California recently, who claimed the new mom looked "amazing" and had already dropped some baby weight.

While it might seem tempting to reach for the jogging bottoms as she gets back into shape, the 32-year-old apparently wants to take more glamorous steps to disguise any problem areas.

"There aren't going to be any sweatpants, no matter how comfortable they are," the source continued.

"Expect to see flattering drapey tops with ruching and gathering. Nothing too clingy."

Kim is apparently also using breastfeeding to bond with North and help her shed the last few pounds.
