Kourtney on style intensity

Kourtney Kardashian doesn't give herself a hard time when it comes to fashion faux pas.

The socialite and her sisters Kim and Khloé are always trying new trends and have designed for stores Lipsy and Dorothy Perkins.

While she might always look primped and preened, Kourtney knows it's not possible to get it right every time.

"I just came across a photo from our Dollhouse book signing event where I was wearing some houndstooth tights, a little skirt with suspenders attached and a blouse. I also had on some triple platform pumps," she recalled to British magazine OK!

"Each piece on its own I actually very much like, but the combination is a little intense. You live and you learn. I never take fashion too seriously. It is so subjective and I think it should be fun."

As well as designing and appearing on show Keeping Up with the Kardashians, Kourtney has her children with Scott Disick to look after.

Since having Penelope and Mason, the 34-year-old has taken a different approach to shopping.

"For me, it's all about balance," she shared.

"I like to be adventurous with my style and try new things, but I need to be comfortable. It's a little harder to wear a dress or a skirt with sky-high pumps when I am running around with my children, but I do still love having an excuse to dress up."

The Kardashian sisters are currently promoting their new collection with Lipsy, which Kourtney says is "trend-driven".
