Kylie Jenner debuts platinum blonde hair
Kylie Jenner couldn't decide between honey and platinum blonde when lightening up her locks at the hair salon on Sunday (04Sep16).
Kylie Jenner has unveiled a new platinum blonde hairstyle.
The reality TV star and wig-lover spent “all day” at the salon on Sunday (04Sep16) having her raven tresses dyed to a striking platinum blonde, and documented the long process on Snapchat.
Kylie's first snap showed her midway through the procedure, with chemicals on her hair but her dark roots still showing, before the 19-year-old later shared a picture of herself with “spaghetti hair” while the dye was taking.
Kylie, who has over 73 million followers on Instagram, made the long process seem gruelling, as she captioned her snaps “The pain” and “Can't decide between platinum blonde or honey.”
The Keeping Up with the Kardashians beauty’s makeover came five days after she shared a 1995 throwback of her half-sister Kourtney Kardashian captioned: “VIBES”.
The 37-year-old mother-of-three was only 16 when she became a bottle blonde, and only kept the shade for a month before dying it back.
“Even though I'll probably never do something this extreme with my hair again - because it destroyed my hair and took forever to get healthy - I'm happy I tried it once,” Kourtney wrote on her website last week (ends04Sep16).
It's only been six months since Kylie complained she was “self-conscious” about how damaged her hair was after being “destroyed from bleach.”
The Lip Kit make-up maven frequently conceals her short locks with help from hair extension specialist Priscilla Valles. And it's been exactly a year since Kylie previously went flaxen, courtesy of hair stylists Jen Atkin and Maisha Oliver.
“Took months of not dying my hair and wearing wigs to get my hair back to health so I can do this!” Kylie wrote at the time, citing her other elder half-sister Khloe Kardashian’s bright blonde hair as her inspiration. “I'm going for an ashy dirty blonde for the fall. But this s***s a process! I'm coming for u khloe!”
