Lady Gaga is imploring her fans to wear “artclothes” when she performs at the iTunes festival in September.
The eccentric singer has promised a huge performance at the iTunes Festival in London on September 1, where she will debut new song Swine.
No doubt there will be plenty of her ‘Little Monsters’ at the show, which she has dubbed the Swinefest.
Luckily the fashion-forward star has some tips when it comes to festival clothing.
“I will be providing a list of acceptable attire for #SwineFest throughout the week. Item 1: Seashells. Item 2: Seahorses 3: Starfish,” she posted on Twitter.
“I would also suggestion 4. Paint colored dreadlocks for securing 'under the sea' Boticelli-Punk accessories. More fashion updates to come! X
“Acceptable attire for #SwineFest CONTINUED: 5: BEDAZZLED PIG NOSE 6: BOWIE MAGICIAN GARB 7: TRASHBAG or ARTCLOTHES (THERE IS A PAINT ZONE) (sic).”
Many fans responded with astonishment, asking Gaga to clarify the definition of ‘artclothes’.
The star is known for not holding back when it comes to fashion and her iTunes getup is unlikely to be demure.
“#ARTCLOTHES are clothes you don't mind getting covered in live art! (sic)” she wrote.
The singer has been making several eccentric style statements this week.
Yesterday she flashed her bra in a skin-tight ensemble while meeting fans in New York and later changed into a pair of leather dungarees.
Gaga has also shown off her fashion connections by penning a track about designer Donatella Versace.
The Italian fashion star seemed touched by the gesture.
"I would like to thank Gaga for her geniality, creativity, incredible talent and super b***hiness. I am honoured to be her friend and of course I love the song!" she responded.
