Lady Gaga thrills emerging designer
Lady Gaga "delighted" a London designer by opting to wear one of her designs.
The American songstress is a firm follower of fashion and regularly shows her support for emerging talent and veteran designers alike.
Gaga chose a white lace Spring/Summer 12 look from the Fashion East collection, which was designed by Simone Rocha - the daughter of clothes creator John Rocha.
Simone was thrilled to find the global superstar had donned her pieces.
"It's always a compliment when somebody chooses to wear my designs," she told Vogue.co.uk. "After showing in London I was told she would be interested in pieces from the collection and I'm delighted she chose some pieces for her time in London.
"I believe my clothes should be integrated into someone's personal style and it has definitely integrated into her signature."
Fashion East founder Lulu Kennedy was equally as delighted about Gaga's style decision. She says the eccentric singer pulled the look off wonderfully.
"It's great to see Lady Gaga wearing her collection so beautifully," she told us.
"Simone's refined appreciation of textiles and fabrication can be seen in every single garment she makes - all elements and details are highly considered. Her Spring/Summer 12 collection was drop dead gorgeous; I especially loved the new silhouettes, apple green tulle, and lace encased in plastic."
