Lauren Conrad: Fashion was always my dream
Lauren Conrad doesn't splurge a lot.
The 28-year-old launched her Paper Crown clothing line in 2011. But despite its continuing success, Lauren finds it hard delegate and share the workload.
"I'm a bit of a control freak, and I don't like things done for me, so time management is definitely the hardest thing for me these days," she told People magazine. "[But] I always wanted to be a fashion designer."
Lauren, who recently got married to former musician William Tell, doesn't go mad with her cash. When she does buy a designer item, such as her favoured Chanel bag, she likes to make them last.
"I do love their bags, but I haven't bought one in years. If I spend a lot on a bag, it has to be a classic," she revealed. "I don't splurge a lot, but when I do, it's on not-so-fun beauty treatments for cellulite and lasers for my skin. It's like being in a torture chamber!"
When it comes to her own style, Lauren reveals she likes to keep it simple.
"[It's] girlie, California, and classic," she added when asked to describe it in three words. "[And] keep it minimal. I prefer really dainty things, and I like to layer."
While she plays around with her clothes, the designer recently admitted she doesn't mess around with her tresses too much.
"I let my hair do what its gonna do - I don't fight it as much," she smiled to Us Weekly. "So a light wave, a more natural texture."
