Lauren Conrad says "multi-coloured lace pieces" are the what she'll be on the lookout for this season.
The 27-year-old has established herself as a respected designer since finding fame on reality TV series Laguna Beach and The Hills.
She has two successful fashion lines, LC Lauren Conrad and Paper Crown, and shared which other designers are currently catching her eye.
"I'm kind of in love with all of the multi-coloured lace pieces! I think Valentino did it best," Lauren shared with Teen Vogue. "They're so beautiful, and I've always loved lace. I think that if done right, it's really versatile - you can dress it up, dress it down - and this is a fresh take."
The trendsetter is often asked about her personal style. Lauren finds it harder to name her favourite designers as her interest in fashion grows.
"I'm getting worse and worse at this question! I've always been a big fan of Phillip Lim. He'll always be a favourite of mine," she said. "Who I'm really loving lately is Kate Spade. I think that that brand has gone in a really great direction, and it's gotten so fun and a little more youthful."
Over the past decade Lauren gas transformed from a beach-dwelling teen to a glamorous red carpet fashionista. Her style has become more sophisticated as she has grown older, but she still loves feminine touches in her ensembles.
"I think it's very California, very lived-in. I love anything really feminine. I love any sort of girly detail anything with a bow or a heart on it, I'm immediately in love with," Lauren continued. "As far as colours go, I tend to gravitate towards a softer palate. And when I'm shopping for pieces, I like more classic silhouettes. I actually do have a uniform just for day-to-day. I'm rarely doing just one thing in a day. A lot of times I'm going from a lunch to a meeting to the office, and I need something that works for different occasions and is appropriate for different settings. Most days I wear a skinny jean with either a heel or a bootie or if it's a little more casual, I'll do a ballet flat and then a button-down, whether it be silk, chiffon, or cotton."
