Law Roach can't get enough of working with Celine Dion
Celine Dion wore a dramatic Stephane Rolland Haute Couture for her performance at the 2017 Billboard Music Awards.
Super stylist Law Roach has labelled his client Celine Dion a student of the fashion game.
The fashion star, whose roster also includes Zendaya and Ariana Grande, has been working with the Think Twice songstress for a year, with fans noticing Celine has taken her style in a new direction over the last 12 months.
Her new passion for fashion was evident at the 2017 Billboard Music Awards on Sunday (21May17), when she took to the stage in a dramatic Stephane Rolland Haute Couture gown to belt out her Titanic hit My Heart Will Go On.
"I didn't take her (on a journey). We went together. She's amazing," America's Next Top Model judge Law gushed to Entertainment Tonight. "I don't think people get to realise that she's really a student of the game. She loves fashion, and she loves clothes. She's a risk taker.
“She has no fear, and when you work with someone who is tall and beautiful and talented, and they're not afraid of putting on anything, then, you know, it' a match made in heaven.”
The white Stephane Rolland piece featured billowing white shoulders, a neckline that was slashed to her navel and silver hardware detailing across the stomach.
With scenes from the multi Oscar-winning Titanic playing behind her, Celine, who lost her husband Rene Angelil to cancer 16 months ago, reduced the audience, including awards co-host Vanessa Hudgens, to tears with her emotive performance.
"We collaborate as a team, and I brought maybe 15 dresses and this one, I knew. I did," Law recalled of finding the dress. "I knew when she saw it and she tried it on, it was just (gasp), and when you have that (gasp), you know it's the right one."
"I said, 'Forget about the rest of all the 15 racks you brought me, this is it’,” Celine added.
