Lea Michele's 'cute' make-up at Teen Choice Awards explained
Lea Michele's make-up inspiration for the Teen Choice Awards was "California cutie meets couture".
The Glee actress wowed at the 14th annual event on Sunday night in a gorgeous Atelier Versace minidress. The shimmering creation showed off the star's perfect pins and the she made sure her beauty look was equally as dazzling.
Lea showed off her glowing tan with nude lips and pretty eye make-up. The stunning star's make-up artist Melanie Inglessis has revealed the inspiration behind her look, claiming Lea's glowing complexion was thanks to a "California cutie meets couture" idea.
The expert wanted to keep Lea's eyes "really simple" so she made them pop with Tarte Amazonian Clay Waterproof Cream Eyeshadow in Shimmering Bronze, she explained to Beauty High.
To create the illusion of wide eyes, Melanie advises that eyelashes curlers are the perfect product.
"Always curl your lashes! It opens the eye up instantly!" she advised.
Melanie used two coats of Tarte Lights, Camera, Lashes! Mascara for a "defined look with no clumps". She wanted to keep the lips neutral so applied Tarte Glamazon Pure Performance 12-Hour Lipstick in Pure with her finger.
Lea's hair was teased into tousled beachy waves, and the star's hairstylist Mark Townsend revealed he wanted to create a "classic, sun-kissed California girl" to complement her make-up.
