Lewis Hamilton has reportedly switched up his wardrobe to get Rihanna's attention.

The stars have been romantically linked after being spotted spending increasing amounts of time together recently.

Despite Lewis' protestations that they are just friends, those close to him tell a different story.

"Lewis has had a crush on Rihanna for years. To keep her attention, it seems he's got a new bad-boy wardrobe, new tattoos and a whole new attitude. Normally, Lewis is quite self-assured with women, but Rihanna keeps him guessing," a source told British magazine Grazia.

As well as a new set of clothes that includes ripped jeans and black T-shirts, Lewis has added to his tattoo collection.

The Formula One ace is heavily inked, but his latest piece has gone in a different direction to what he normally opts for. It also came courtesy of Rihanna's own tattoo artists, Bang Bang.

"Rihanna suggested he should check out Bang Bang and he agreed on the spot. She even advised him on what design to go for, and the finished product is very different from his other body art. He usually goes go smaller religious symbols, or text, so having a huge lion was quite a statement," the source noted.

His new image and tattoo are also in keeping with rumours Lewis is about to launch a music career. Earlier this year it was reported he'd even installed a home studio and will release tracks through Jay Z's Roc Nation label.
