Liberty Ross’ closet secrets
Liberty Ross' daughter often dresses up in her clothes, and can't wait to get hand-me-downs.
The model-and-actress recently had her divorce finalised from director Rupert Sanders, after 12 years of marriage.
The relationship ended when Rupert was caught in a passionate embrace with actress Kristen Stewart, but Liberty says there are some perks to living without a spouse.
"I've just moved and have this crazy-big closet. It used to be a his'n'hers - now it's just hers!" Liberty laughed to British magazine Grazia.
While she may not have to share her wardrobe with a partner, Liberty does have her daughter snooping around it whenever she gets the chance.
She has son Tennyson and daughter Skyla with Rupert, and reveals Skyla loves to dress up in her clothes.
"My little girl is so funny - whenever she brings a friend over, it's the first room she shows them. She's like, 'This is gonna be mine, that is gonna be mine.’ She comes out dressed in my studded jackets and theatrically announces, 'Hi, I'm Liberty Ross'," she smiled.
Liberty doesn't take fashion lightly, and her years spent working in the industry have afforded her an enviable collection of clothes.
She looks to her outfits as more than just things to wear, explaining they can help you through a tough time.
"Clothes can be like armour - you can suit up, put your heels on and be ready for whatever comes at you," she said.
The 36-year-old hails from London, England but now resides across the pond in Los Angeles.
While she loves the laidback lifestyle, Liberty thinks the women of LA miss a trick when it comes to fashion.
"Everyone just wears leisure-wear. It is so shocking!" she exclaimed.
"I like to be comfortable, but if I'm working or going out, I want to 'dress'. I love silhouette - it's just so important. My favourite designers are Alaïa, and McQueen, Raf [Simons] - people who give you a really tight, sharp edge."
