Liberty Ross' denim uniform
Liberty Ross thinks clothes are an expression of who a person is and how they are feeling.
The model and actress currently lives in Los Angeles with her two children from her previous marriage to director Rupert Sanders. It seems her location has dictated the vast majority of her wardrobe.
"I’m a real denim girl and it’s my go-to uniform almost every day. Living in LA is like being on holiday; it has this ridiculous climate," she revealed to The Outnet ahead of her latest collaboration with designer Alice Temperley.
Liberty fronts the new collection, 11 years after she first modelled for the brand's debut campaign in 2003. Along with her appreciation of denim, the 36-year-old loves the British designer's garments.
"The tuxedo suit is incredible because it looks so sharp and sexy yet feels so wearable, like I could throw it on. I love pieces like that, they do all the work for you!” she added. "I always say clothes are a part of who you are and an expression of how you’re feeling at that time, so I dress accordingly and therefore clothes can be armor when you need to be more suited up, or they can be very much more relaxed, like a bikini. It just depends.”
Having worked as a model for many years, Liberty has had the chance to work with some top designers. But the brunette beauty does have some personal favourites she likes to wear from time to time.
"I’ve had a big crush on Tom Ford for many years, so I’m very loyal to him!” she admitted. "I also love what Olivier [Rousteing]’s doing at Balmain, I think it’s great. Obviously, I love Givenchy like everyone! Saint Laurent is probably the store I go into most often on Rodeo Drive – it’s a great store and [Hedi Slimane]’s very exciting to me. I also love what Raf [Simons] is doing at Dior.”
