Liberty Ross raves about Edun NYFW show
Liberty Ross praised Bono and Ali Hewson’s Edun collection yesterday.
The actress-and-model visited the catwalk event to check out the latest collection by the label founded by musician Bono and his wife Ali Hewson.
The African-made pieces were a hit with the 34-year-old.
“I really liked it. It looked very London,” she smiled to WWD.
Edun was launched in 2005 and has always worked to bring about positive change thanks to its trading relationship with Africa.
Liberty herself has fond memories of visiting the continent.
“Yes, actually [I have been to Africa], on my honeymoon ten years ago,” she laughed.
The star recently filed for divorce from her director husband Rupert Sanders, following his affair with Twilight actress Kristen Stewart.
Liberty has been keeping busy with film and modelling projects as well as planning the launch of her own fashion collection next year.
“I love everything,” she gushed. “I love life... I am just moving forward as graciously as possible. It’s been hard, very hard. But I’m doing well. Thank you.”
Yesterday, the brunette was seen walking around New York City on an elegant all-black ensemble.
A fierce jacket with padded shoulder spiced up her fitted, knee-length dress.
Also showing yesterday was BCBG Max Azria, with model Jessica Hart in the front row.
“All these flashes at once make you feel dizzy or like you’re about to have a seizure,” she complained as her picture was taken.
Rather than showing during Fashion Week, Katie Holmes decided to present Holmes & Yang’s latest line in a quieter setting.
The actress picked The New York Palace Hotel for a more intimate viewing.
“We really enjoyed it [last season], but it’s February,” she explained. “This is how we’ve always done it. It’s nice to spend time with editors.”
