Lily Allen: I shun proper meals on tour

Lily Allen

Lily Allen doesn't eat proper meals while on the road.

The 29-year-old singer is currently promoting her latest album Sheezus, which marks her return to the spotlight after giving birth to her daughters Marnie and Ethel with husband Sam Cooper.

She has slimmed down dramatically since becoming a mom, but when travelling and putting on performances Lily admits she doesn't obsess over food.

"I just eat a lot of crisps, I'm not really eating a lot of proper meals [while on tour]," she told Australian radio station 2Day FM Breakfast hosts Sophie Monk and Merrick Watts. "Only when I'm able to get to a restaurant."

Lily looked ultra trim while performing Down Under at Byron Bay's Splendour In the Grass and Sydney's The Standard Bowl over the weekend. As well as not having the time to tuck into cooked food Lily isn't interested in meals provided in bulk.

"I think it’s touring and dancing and probably, you know, the not wanting to eat room service thing," she added.

"I don't really like food being mass produced, you look at those kitchens and they're huge just I don't like it."

Since making her comeback the British star has been open about her figure. She is thought to have slimmed down to a UK size 8, however she doesn't prioritise her appearance and would rather stick to her usual routine.

"I am bored of people talking about how much I currently weigh," she previously sighed to German magazine Petra. "I have two children, I quite like eating; I will never have the figure of a supermodel, but that's OK with me."
