Lily Collins wouldn’t be able to get in the party mood without her mascara.

The 25-year-old actress’ career has flourished in recent years and she’s added many new strings to her bow. One of those is being the face of beauty giant Lancôme, which has enabled her to discover a plethora of new products she now loves.

“Mascara, definitely,” she replied to British magazine Cosmopolitan, when asked what helps her get in the party mood. “I’ll do one coat during the day, then add two or three more, just on the tips, for extra oomph. I’m obsessed with Lancôme Hypnôse Star. It’s like a sparkly accessory.”

When she’s heading out for the night, it’s music that helps set the tone of Lily’s evening. She’ll put on her favourite tunes and then give herself around an hour to get ready, as she always knows what she’s going to wear well in advance.

Make-up wise the star is known for her pout, which she tends to play up with bold colours. These days that can mean a gloss or a lipstick, with Lily only recently venturing into the world of lip gloss, having previously found them far too gloopy.

Looking good is part of the star’s job, so she’s as careful about what she puts into her body as she is with the beauty products she uses. The actress is now based in Hollywood and has caught the bug for healthy living.

"Juicing is massive. It’s all about ‘clean’ food,” she enthused. “I’ve got a new Vitamix blender, which is very cool.”
