Lupita Nyong'o shines at BAFTAs
Lupita Nyong'o dazzled in a beautiful emerald Dior Couture gown at yesterday's BAFTAs.
The 12 Years a Slave star was up for best supporting actress and the EE Rising Star award at the ceremony held in London yesterday.
She may have lost out to Jennifer Lawrence and Will Poulter respectively, but Lupita was the star of the do in her green Dior Couture gown.
As well as getting her picture professionally taken on the red carpet, the 30-year-old took time for a selfie with her co-star Michael Fassbender.
"#EEBAFTAs Losers Selfie with Fasso. #ingoodcompany. (sic)" she posted on Instagram, attaching a snap of herself and Michael smiling for the camera.
Lupita's gown was strapless and tight fitting at the top, then cascaded into a fishtail finish on the skirt.
The actress highlighted her tiny waist with a metallic gold belt around the middle and matching cuff bracelets finished off the look.
She's been linked to Dallas Buyers Club star Jared Leto recently, but Lupita brought her mother along as her BAFTAs date.
"Perfect #EEBAFTAs gift from my intuitive mother: my cousin Kwame Nyong'o's latest children's book… (sic)" she wrote on Instagram.
Also joining Lupita on the red carpet was Bond girl Olga Kurylenko, who went for a glitzy vibe in a Burberry gown.
The pretty brunette's dress was black around the top, with a shiny, tight-fitting red skirt.
Angelina Jolie chose to shun the trend for gorgeous gowns and instead wore a matching suit with her fiancé Brad Pitt.
The couple looked smart in their blazers and white shirts and black, fitted trousers.
Léa Seydoux proved Blue is the Warmest Color by wearing a navy blue gown by Miu Miu on the red carpet.
The glitzy embellishment on the top and sheer finish at the bottom meant she caught the eye of eager fans who headed to Covent Garden to catch a glimpse of their favourite stars.
